Jetro COCKPIT4i ™ Benefits
Secure Printing
he unique approach to COCKPIT4i security extends beyond file whitening of downloaded files. Web pages that are sent to print also come under the COCKPIT4i microscope, to ensure no trojans enter the network through this route.

Protection from Printer Malware
Protecting print servers from exposure to internet malware is made easy with COCKPIT4i . Web pages are often made to look different when sent for printing. In effect, these are parallel web pages that often escape scanning before infiltrating the corporate network. These parallel web pages are just as capable of hiding malware scripts that can act as trojans designed to take advantage of known print servers.
COCKPIT4i Print Conversions
COCKPIT4i protects entry for this type of malicious software by processing the file through a special conversion mechanism to ensure it is clean of any threats. This process also takes place in the DMZ, away from the secured network, so all malware is disarmed before entering the company firewall.
Communication across the company firewall and into the network is carefully designed with the highest security. It takes place using a dedicated, monitored, secured port, using encrypted packets that are comprehensively verified to avoid any outside interference. Only PDF files that have been verified to be digitally signed by Jetro’s unique encryption keys will be allowed into the network printer.
Alternatively, IT managers can choose to assign internet printers in the DMZ. This helps to lower the security risk even further by leaving printing outside of the enterprise network.
