Load Balancing and Performance Monitoring

COCKPIT4i Administrator Console includes a section on load balancing between two or more web browsing workstations located in the DMZ. The load balancing functionality is built in to COCKPIT4i , and ensures that the browsing requests of members of one’s network do not unduly overload a single web workstation.
Add weights to different types of browsing requests, and define a critical level for the load balancing functionality to step in.

Network Zoning

Zoning, which is built into COCKPIT4i , is a powerful management tool to control the use of internet browsing across one’s user base.
Using COCKPIT4i , administrators can create different zones across the internet, and assign lists of sites to each zone. Furthermore, for each of the zones, or even a specific website, the level of access per individual user group can be defined. Administrators can even disable different content types if required.

Monitor web usage

Using COCKPIT4i monitoring functionality ensures that all corporate members and employees use the internet effectively and appropriately.
The COCKPIT4i Administrator Console displays information about the number of users browsing the internet at any given time. In addition, it specifies the time spent on each site, and can also track a list of URLs that were visited by each individual user.

COCKPIT4i also adds an element of control where administrators can send messages to the user, shadow the browser activity or disconnect it altogether when the business policy dictates.
