JKB00313 Terminal Server Asks for Username and Password When a User Opens an Application Symptoms: When the user clicks on an application icon, the terminal server session begins but the windows login screen appears and asks for the user’s username and password. Possible Causes: The terminal server RDP configuration prevents CockpIT from delivering the username and password. Possible Resolutions: In the terminal server Administrative tools - Launch the Terminal Services Configuration program. Double click on the 'RDP-TCP' icon on the right pane of the program. Click on the ' Logon settings ' tab and uncheck the 'Always prompt for password ' option. Back to top
