Symptoms: Users get the
following message when they try to enter CockpIT:
"Failed
to check in, wrong login parameters"
Possible Causes:
· CockpIT has not finished reading
the directory service for the first time
· Settings for the directory service
are incorrect in the CockpIT Server Registry
· CockpIT Server was configured with
a user account that does not have administrator
privileges in the directory service.
· Interval or timeout between synchronizations
with the directory service is too short.
If an enterprise has a large number of users,
and the gap between synchronization timeouts
is too short, the synchronization process
will stop before the process finishes.
· IIS is not working properly
Possible Resolutions:
· Wait until CockpIT finishes reading
the directory server for the first time.
In a network with many users, this process
may take a few minutes.
· Restart the IIS. Use services program
or Internet Services Manager.
· Confirm that the user account that
starts the following services has administrative
privileges in the directory service and
on the CockpIT Server:
o JDs
o JDsNetExplorer
o JDsMonitor
Increase the directory service synchronization
interval in the Server Settings section
of the CockpIT Administrator Site or by
changing the Directory Refresh Period
parameter in the Server Settings Screen.
· Increase the directory service
synchronization timeout by setting the
Directory Scan Timeout parameter
in the Server Settings section of the Administrator
Site or in the CockpIT Server Registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Jetro\JDS\ ADRefreshPeriod
